BURBANK, September 21, 2007 – Parents’ can now unleash the
genius in their child with Starz Home Entertainment’s new
award-winning DVD series "Phonics 4 Babies." created by Joe
and Cassandra Giangrasso of High 5 Productions and starring
Emmy-Award winner Mallory Lewis, daughter of legendary "Lamb
Chop" creator Shari Lewis, "Phonics 4 Babies" uses playful
puppets and original music to engage babies and toddlers and
jumpstart them on the path to early speech. It is the only
video series specifically focused on early speech development
and is designed to introduce children to their first 300 key
words and phrases.
"Baby’s First Words" (60 minutes), the debut title in the
series, has garnished the prestigious Parent to Parent Adding
Wisdom Award in six categories! Jodie Lynn, CEO/Founder, Parent
to Parent Adding Wisdom Award says, "It's such a pleasure

"Baby’s First Words" has also been the recipient of the Gold
Title in the NAPPA Awards. ( NAPPA is the National Association
of Parenting Publications Awards).
Additionally, Phonics 4 Babies is thrilled to announce that
"Babies First Words" is an official selection of the Kid’s
First Film Festival at which Miss Lewis will be the recipient
of the KIDS FIRST! Palmer-Vision Award, which honors those
who "exemplify caring, expertise, wisdom and vision for children's
educational programming.
This new award-winning series is filled with original music
written, produced and performed by Joe Giangrasso with vocals
by Mallory, Giggles and the Tummy Tots.
Prominent child development expert Dr. Karen Kovacs North,
a licensed clinical psychologist at UCLA, serves as the Clinical
and Educational Advisor for the series. At the conclusion
of the DVD, Dr. Kovacs North discusses child speech development
in an in-depth, one-on-one interview with Mallory. Speech
pathologist Gary T. Hardeman also serves as a consultant and
provides additional expertise. "Phonics 4 Babies"…where little
minds grow big.
